Residents reported spotting what they believed was tornadic activity during a Sunday evening storm.
A funnel cloud was spotted above the 5500 block of Harrisburg-Georgesville Road,10TV’s Ashleigh Barry reported.
John Rohr said that the storm uprooted a large tree near his home in a matter of seconds.
“The sky looked really weird and then I saw just a really weird cloud coming through and you could tell it was a funnel cloud,” Rohr said.
Rohr said that he saw the tree twisting and watched as three pine trees snapped in half.
“As it went across the pond we could see the vortex,” Rohr said. “I told the wife, ‘Well, we just had a tornado.'”
Rohr said that while the National Weather Service has not confirmed the sighting, he believes what he saw was a tornado. There were no reports of injuries.
