A man recalled the moment he learned a pole fell on his brother's truck along Hamilton Road during Friday's storm.
Ed Claesy said that he was driving to work when he received a text message that said, "Dude we are okay, but I have a pole on the back of my truck."
"Man that was, they were extremely lucky," said Claesy.
Claesy's 8-year-old nephew was also in the vehicle, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.
Nearly 30 vehicles were trapped under power lines along the northeast side road.
The storm that knocked down the Hamilton Road power lines ripped through the region, leaving hundreds of thousands without power.
