Facilities Open Doors To Residents Without Power

A number of facilities and organizations have opened their doors around central Ohio to keep residents cool.

Franklin County:
Bexley Public Library, 2411 East Main Street, 9:00 am-6:00 pm on July 7, and 1:00 pm-5:00 pm on July 8. ADA compliant. No pets.
Dublin– Dublin Community Center, 5600 Post Rd. 8:00am-8:00 pm on July 7, and 8:00 am-8:00 pm on July 8. ADA compliant. No pets. Dublin residents only.
Worthington Community Center, 345 East Wilson Bridge Rd., 8:00 am-8:00 pm on July 7, and 10:00 am-6:00 pm on July 8. ADA compliant. No pets.
Worthington - Old Worthington Main Library, 820 High St, 9:00 am-6:00 pm on July 7. ADA compliant. No pets.
Worthington - Northwest Library, 2280 Hard Road, 9:00 am-6:00 pm on July 7. ADA compliant. No pets.
Worthington Park Centre, 1389 Worthington Centre Drive, 9:00 am-6:00 pm on July 7. ADA compliant. No pets.
McConnell Arts Center (MAC), 777 Evening Street, 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on July 7, and 12:00 am until 5:00 pm on July 8.  Electricity, art, and WiFi.
Central-Southeast Ohio
Athens Community Center, 701 E. State St., Athens

Vinton County Middle School: 63780 Locker Plant Road, McArthur, 10a.m.-6p.m. daily through Sunday.

Gallia County Senior Center: 1167 St. Rt. 160, Gallipolis, Noon – 6 p.m.

Christ’s Table: 28 S. 6th St., Zanesville

Muskingham County Center for Seniors: 200 Sunrise Center, Zanesville, 8 a.m.–10p.m

Cambridge Senior Citizen Center: 1022 Carlyle Ave., Cambridge

Kenyon Athletic Complex: Duff St., Gambier - 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Fredericktown Presbyterian Church: 17 S. Main St., Fredericktown - 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Morrow County Senior Center: 41 West Center St. Mt. Gilead, Ohio until 6 p.m.

Lookout Park: 801 Lancaster St., Marietta

Salvation Army: 250 East Main St., Newark, Noon-6 p.m., also a Salvation Army shelter and Red Cross feeding site. (*Salvation Army’s feeding schedule is: Noon- 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m-6:00 p.m)

Curtis Hall, Denison University: Granville, 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Licking Valley High School: 100 Hainsview Drive, NE, Hanover, 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Cherry Valley Elementary School: 1040 Wast Main Street, Newark, also a Red Cross Shelter and Feeding Site.
(*Cherry Valley’s feeding schedule is: Noon- 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m-6:00 p.m.)

National Trail Fire Department: 362 Church St. Gratiot, as needed basis.
