The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch through 8 p.m. for the following counties:

Champaign
Clark
Greene
Hardin
Logan

It's going to be another hot and humid day across central Ohio today.

Temperatures will reach 94 degrees with heat index values around 100, Doppler 10 meteorologist Josh Poland said.

A Heat Advisory is in effect, as well as an Air Quality Alert. Ozone pollution levels will be just high enough to make breathing difficult for sensitive groups, Poland said.

Temperatures will drop to 71 degrees Sunday night, with a slight chance for showers and storms.

Highs will likely stay in the 90s all the way through the workweek, Poland said. Afternoon storms will be possible Monday through Independence Day.
