The City of Columbus issued a boil advisory for resident living near Godown Road on the north side Sunday afternoon.

According to the Department of Public Utilities, a 12-inch water line broke on Godown Road at LeAnne Marie Circle.

Residents in the vicinity, between Godown Road and LeAnne Marie Circle to Smallwood Drive and Linworth Road, were experiencing low water pressure and a temporary loss of water services, 10TV News reported.

Residents in that area were asked to boil their water for cooking and drinking until further notice.

The water main break was expected to be repaired by Sunday night.

Customers with questions are asked to call 311 or the public utilities department service center at 614-645-8276.
