Tony Tchani scored for the second straight game and Eddie Gaven also tallied and the Columbus Crew defeated Real Salt Lake 2-0 on Saturday.

The Crew (6-5-4) are 4-1-3 in the past eight games while RSL (10-6-2) lost a third consecutive game for the first time since July 2007.

Tchani was 12 yards off goal to convert a pass by Emilio Renteria in the 16th  minute.

Gaven doubled the lead in the 44th off a corner kick that began with Chris Birchall. Josh Williams took the ball and passed to Gaven for a shot off the crossbar and in.

The match was delayed an hour because electricity was out at Crew Stadium until Saturday afternoon following Friday's storms.
