38,000 South Central Power customers were still without power on Saturday afternoon because of Friday evening's storms.
Officials said 54 South Central Power and contractor line crews and 21 tree crews were making repairs and assessing storm damage.
A helicopter also was called to patrol the lines but South Central Power would provide no timetable for when the repairs would be completed.
South Central Power said a number of its outages were caused by transmission problems from American Electric Power.
Officials said South Central Power relies on AEP to transmit the electricity from the power plant to its substations and when AEP power is down, it also impacts South Central Power consumers.
