2 Men Killed In Crash Along I-70 East In Zanesville

Police said that two men were killed in a crash along Interstate 70 east on Friday morning.

According to police, the two men, identified as Ever D. Gomez, 37, and his brother Gabriel Gomez, 40, were traveling in a tractor-trailer hauling spinach when it crashed shortly before 9 a.m., 10TV News reported.

Investigators said that they believed the driver of the vehicle might have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Engineers were called to the scene to inspect the State Street bridge, which was damaged during the crash.

Investigators said that the tractor-trailer was the only vehicle involved in the crash. There were no other reports of injuries.
