Signs were posted Friday afternoon announcing an official COTA driver strike beginning on Monday morning.

Transportation Workers Union of America members said in a letter that a strike would begin at 3 a.m.

According to a union letter dated Friday, union members have been “willing and able to negotiate every day this week, and COTA has not been willing to meet.”

Union members and COTA officials still plan to meet Sunday to come to an agreement about equal pay, according to union president Andrew Jordan

The union has scheduled a special membership meeting for Monday at 6 p.m.

In the letter, Jordan urged all members, which include drivers and other employees, to participate in any strike action.
