Investigators were working to learn what led to a deadly crash on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash, which occurred along the 14000 block of Palmer Road, at about 7 a.m., 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.
Investigators said that they believed the crash occurred overnight because the SUV, which was found in the front yard of a vacant home, was cold to the touch when they arrived.
Investigators said that neighbors reported hearing the sounds of the crash at about 3:12 a.m.
The male driver, identified as Robert Silverman, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to investigators.
According to investigators, Silverman was traveling eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the road and struck a tree, causing it to flip into the front yard of a home.
Crews closed a portion of Palmer Road while they investigated.
