Police were searching for a man suspected in a north side robbery on Wednesday morning.
Investigators said that a man armed with two guns knocked on the door of a home, located in the 2700 block of Joyce Avenue, at about 4:30 a.m.
Upon entering the home, the robber allegedly demanded pants from one man inside the home and keys to a vehicle parked in front of the home from another person inside, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.
Tricia Dailey said that she was inside the home with her children.
"I wasn't afraid of my life, I was afraid of my kids' life, " Dailey said.
Dailey said that she was concerned that the gunman seemed to know her home, but was not sure what he wanted.
"I'm buying me a pistol today," Dailey said. She said she wants to make sure the incident never happens again.
"Whoever comes on my property, if they come on my sidewalk and threaten me or my kids, or whoever on my property, I'm shooting them," Dailey said.
Police were searching for the robber, who escaped the scene in a black Dodge Caravan with temporary tags. A description of the robber was not immediately available.
