Law enforcement officials expanded their search for an alleged burglar considered armed and dangerous on Tuesday.

Dozens of officials blocked Dublin Road Tuesday evening because of the search, which began Tuesday morning in Powell.

Zachary Davis is accused of breaking into a home, located in the 4500 block of Olentangy River Rd. A warrant was issued for Davis' arrest Tuesday evening.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, a woman returned to her house to find a man, identified as Davis, 23, inside. Davis allegedly drove off in a white minivan shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Officials said that Davis was stopped by deputies along state Route 315, north of Powell Road, after  a 4-mile pursuit. He then bailed from the van and ran away, 10TV’s Chuck Strickler reported.

Officials said that they expanded their search along Dublin Road, between state Route 161 and Emerald Parkway.

The road was closed for about two hours during the search, which began after two people said that they spotted the alleged burglar in the area.

A number of law enforcement agencies continued to actively search for Davis on Tuesday evening. Law enforcement officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dublin, Shawnee Hills, Perry Township and Columbus were also assisting in the search.

Anyone with information about Davis' whereabouts is asked to call the Delaware County Sheriff's Office at 740-833-2800.
