Police arrested two people in connection with an alleged prostitution ring on Monday.
Mara Morrison, 21, and her boyfriend, Craig Tackett, 21, were both arrested at a home, located along East Fourth Street, for allegedly promoting prostitution, 10TV's Jason Frazer reported.
Investigators would not say what prompted their investigation, but said that they found drug paraphernalia, pills and a gun inside the home.
Also inside the home were four children, ranging in age of two months to four-years-old, Frazer reported. Conditions inside the home were so poor that children services were called.
A family friend who lives inside the home said that the entire situation is a misunderstanding.
"No selling females, not going on in my house right here," Josh Ragland said. "It's all a big misunderstanding, police trying to make it something that it's not."
Police said that the investigation started in Columbus and that they expected additional arrests to be made soon.
