Police were searching for a killer on Sunday after two men were found dead.
Justin Nelson and Chris Morrison were found shot outside Morrison’s apartment, in the Coventry Estates complex, located near Cambridge, at about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, 10TV’s Kevin Landers reported.
Deputies said that Morrison, 31, was found dead in the yard in front of the apartment. Nelson, 25, was found in the backyard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Southeast Ohio Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Theresa Glover, Morrison’s mother, said that the two men were best friends.
“They were just like brothers,” Glover said.
Investigators said that both bodies were being transported to Stark County for autopsies.
Guernsey County Sheriff Mike McCauley said that they were investigating at least one person of interest. Investigators said that they believed the shooting was drug related.
