Investigators said that a man was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed his minivan on Thursday night.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Dana Smith was traveling along U.S. Route 23 north at state Route 317 when he crashed into a box truck and then slid underneath a tractor-trailer at about 11:20 p.m.
Smith, 36, was pronounced dead on the scene, 10TV News reported. No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for a short time while crews cleared the scene. Investigators said that alcohol was not suspected in the crash.
