Police continued to investigate a shooting involving a secret service agent on Friday morning.

According to investigators, a Secret Service agent was pulling into a parking ramp in the area of W. Hoster Street and S. Wall Street on Thursday evening when a parking lot attendant yelled that she was being robbed, 10TV’s Shayla Reaves reported.

Police said the agent exited his vehicle, identified himself as a police officer and chased the robber as he fled to a white Ford Taurus. The agent fired one shot, it was not known if he struck the man or the woman in the passenger’s seat of the vehicle.

On Thursday night, investigators tracked down two people at the Rodeway Inn, located at 6125 Zumstein Dr., at about 9 p.m. and took them into custody. It was not immediately clear if the pair were connected to the incident, Reaves reported.

Police located and impounded a car matching the description of the vehicle from the shooting while at the hotel.

The Secret Service agent was not injured.
