A woman was in jail, held on $150,000 bond, on Friday in connection with another person's drug-related death.

Emily N. Thacker was charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly injecting Russell Ronske with heroin. Ronske later died, 10TV’s Maureen Kocot reported.

Thacker, 25, originally told police that she did not know if Ronske, 36, had taken any drugs when he lost consciousness. Medics found him unresponsive at an apartment on East Holmes Street on Thursday.

“We don’t believe she intentionally tried to kill anyone, but there was a death as a result of her actions,” Westerville police Chief Joe Morbitzer said.

Witnesses told police that Thacker injected Ronske with heroin, 10TV News reported.
