Sheriff's deputies took a man who led them on a high-speed chase into custody early Thursday morning.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, an electronic license plate reader picked up on a stolen vehicle on the west side at about 2:45 a.m.

The driver, who refused to stop for deputies, led investigators on a 10 minute chase before stopping at an apartment complex along Cherry Creek Parkway.

Investigators said that the driver, whose identity was not immediately released, has been in trouble for grand theft auto before.
