Both directions of Hudson Street, just east of High Street, were closed for hours on Thursday morning because of a gas leak.
Duncan Street was closed between High Street and East Avenue, and one lane of northbound High Street at Hudson Street was closed, 10TV News reported.
According to Columbus police, utility workers struck a gas line in an alley near Hudson Street.
A gas station and a Goodwill store were evacuated because of the leak.
The roads reopened and employees and customers of the stores were allowed back in early Thursday afternoon.
