Woman Hospitalized During Far East Side House Fire

Fire crews battled a Far East side house fire on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the home, located along Bellamy Place, at about 6 a.m., 10TV News reported.

One woman, who fell while running away from the scene, was taken by medics, her condition was not immediately known. Investigators said that the fire originated in the kitchen.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene because of heavy smoke damage. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
