The Central Ohio Transit Authority hopes to smooth out tensions with a union before a strike occurs.
The Transport Workers Union of America Local 208 approved a vote to strike Tuesday night, 10TV News reported. Officials said that the vote does not mean workers will strike immediately.
COTA and the union have been working on a new contract since the last one expired in November.
The union president said the two sides will set a date soon for mediation.
