The city opened its Lincoln Pool on Wednesday after a three-day delay.
City officials said that they were not able to open the pool on time because they did not have enough lifeguards to operate the pool safely, 10TV News reported.
Columbus Recreations and Parks Aquatics Director John Gloyd said that he wanted to have 12 lifeguards working at all times when the pool is open.
The Lincoln Pool will be open everyday from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., until Columbus closes its pools in mid-August.
