A company sought fan donations to help those in need keep cool on Wednesday.
LifeCare Alliance works to distribute the fans to those who are sensitive to heat, 10TV's Glenn McEntyre reported.
Myrtle Hughes said that the hot temperatures have forced her indoors. Hughes, 84, said that
"It means a lot, I mean, just a great big lot," Hughes said. "It might not mean much to other people, but it means a lot to me. I'm not one to get anything if I don't need it."
LifeCare Alliance representatives said that they have already collected and distributed about 600 fans but are reliant on donations.
Anyone looking to help can donate fans to central Ohio fire departments.
