Capital Area Humane Society agents checked on pets that were left out in the heat on Wednesday.
Two dogs were taken from a north side home Wednesday afternoon.
Officials recommend bringing pets inside. If that is not possible, they suggest making sure pets have plenty of food and water and a place to seek shade.
