Fire investigators ruled out arson as the cause of a fire that demolished six townhomes last week.

The six units were destroyed in the early morning blaze on June 13 at The Traditions at Highbluffs, located at 98 Highbluffs Blvd., just south of the Delaware-Franklin County line, 10TV News reported.

Witnesses said that the fire started in a detached garage and spread to nearby townhomes. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

The fire was so large that firefighters were forced to delay transporting a woman in labor for medical attention. Investigators said that she was inside a home, located away from the flames, in the back of the complex.

There were no injuries caused by the fire. The investigation was handed over to insurance companies, who will continue to investigate the actual cause.
