Banners were hung along west side streets on Tuesday to help promote commercial business.

The banners were hung along West Broad Street, between Hague Avenue and Lechner Avenue, 10TV News reported.

Geoffrey Phillips, a member of the Highland West Neighbors Association, said that he believed that the banners, which are part of a project designed two years ago, were positive for the area.

"It adds a whole new dimension onto Broad Street that's kind of missing. Some creative excitement.” Phillips said.

The goal of the addition is to revitalize commercial business on the west side, according to Phillips.
