Police: Man Assaulted With Baseball Bat After Argument

A man was hospitalized early Monday morning after he was assaulted.

Police responded to a home, located along the 1100 block of Peters Avenue, on the north side, to find that the man had been beaten with a baseball bat after a dispute, at about 1:30 a.m., 10TV’s Shayla Reaves reported.

Detectives were speaking with a woman who lives with the victim to learn more about the assault. The relationship between the woman and the man was not immediately determined.

It was not known if the woman, who was not immediately identified, was connected to the assault, Reaves reported.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said that they were working to learn more about what led to the assault.
