Police are searching for a driver who tried to run over an officer Sunday night.
According to the Athens County Sheriff, Nelsonville police spotted someone stealing something along railroad tracks shortly after 9 p.m.
The driver got into a vehicle and tried to run officers over, 10TV News reported.
Officers fired shots at the driver’s car.
The sheriff’s K9 unit was assisting police in searching for the driver in a wooded area.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, 10TV News reported.
