Woman, 86, Struck, Killed In Hocking County

Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were looking into a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian Friday night.
 
The crash occurred at 9:35 p.m. on Pike Street, according to OSHP officials. 
 
Betty Lowery, 86, was attempting to cross Pike Street when she was struck by a gray Nissan Sentra driven by 17-year-old Alisha Johnson.
 
Lowery, 86, was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan where she later died.
 
Johnson and her passenger were not injured in the crash.
 
No charges have been filed at this time.
