1 Dead After Vehicle Crashes Into Motorcycles Involved In Funeral Procession

A truck attempting to turn into a parking lot collided with two motorcycles killing one person on Friday afternoon, 10TV News reported.

According to the Zanesville Times Recorder, the driver of a Chevrolet truck was traveling north on Maysville Pike when it tried to turn into a parking lot and crashed into a motorcyclist who was part of a funeral procession.

The truck ended up in a parking lot across the street from the market, where it struck another motorcyclist who was part of a funeral procession.

The causes of the crashes were unknown.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, South Zanesville police, Zanesville police and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office were assisting with the crash, the paper reported.

The identities of those involved were not immediately released.

The motorcycle driver who died was not wearing a helmet, according to South Zanesville police.
