The Fairfield County Area Humane Society is trying to raise $250,000 to cover the costs of building a new dog park, 10TV News reported on Thursday.
The humane society has already begun work on the new dog park, which will be the first leash-free dog park in Fairfield County.
The park will be on Granville Pike in Lancaster.
So far, the organization has raised nearly $60,000.
