A man who was accused in his estranged wife's slaying was found guilty on all counts, including aggravated murder, by a Hocking County jury on Tuesday.
Investigators charged William Inman II in connection with the March 2011 death of his wife, Summer Inman. Her body was found strangled and dumped in an underground septic tank behind an Athens County church, 10TV News reported.
"I have a child myself, and to see the hurt and the pain that her children have endured through this -- along with her family -- it just hit home," Summer Inman's friend, Falisha Long said. "I think her family deserves to have justice as well."
William Inman II's parents were also charged and will be tried later. All three pleaded not guilty.
The jury was excused until Thursday when Inman will be sentenced, 10TV's Chuck Strickler reported. He is eligible for the death penalty.
