The mother of a child found alone at a COTA bus shelter on Tuesday came forward and identified the child, according to Franklin County Children Services officials.

According to children services, the boy, who the mother said was 8-years-old was found at a bus stop, located near 3820 W. Broad St., at about 2 p.m.

Officials said that the boy was unable to communicate where he lives or who his family is.

FCCS officials verified that the woman was the boy's mother. Officials said that she likely would not face charges.
