Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer ran drills on Saturday, but not with the team that typically represents the school.

Nearly 700 people watched as coaches, such as Meyer, Luke Fickell, Mickey Marotti and Mike Vrabel, took the women through an hour’s worth of drills, including push-ups and 40-yard dashes.

The drills came after a morning of instructional presentations including offensive, defensive and special teams talks.

One woman described the opportunity as a “dream come true.”

“These guys are going hard and it’s hot out here,” Meyer said. “But they’re having fun.”

Representatives of the James Cancer Hospital were at the clinic to talk about the importance of early screening and detection.
