WBNS-10TV will present an hour-long special that gives viewers an inside look at the Wilds, a southeastern Ohio gem which is one of the largest and most innovative animal conservation centers in the world.
"A Look At The Wilds" will air on June 9, from 8-9 p.m. Hosts Jeff Hogan and Angela An, along with Jack Hanna, the Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo, and his wife, Suzi, will tour the 10,000-acre facility that features animals from all over the world living in natural, open-range habitat, including 27 rare and endangered species.
Hogan, An and Hanna will take viewers on guided Safari Transports, highlighting the area's features and amenities. Hogan and Hanna's Open-Air Safari Tour will explore the Wilds' open-range animal areas, with animals roaming in large, natural settings.
An's Wildside Tour will offer an up close and personal look at the animals, which include cheetahs, giraffes, rhinos and takin. Tom Stalf, the chief operating officer of The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Wilds, will join An on the Wildside Tour to introduce the many baby animals born over the winter.
The special will also highlight things to do at the Wilds, aside from viewing and interacting with the animals, such as fishing, ziplining, excursions and education camps for kids and the entire family.
"As Central Ohio's News Leader, we feel it's important to bring awareness to this local treasure and all it has to offer," said WBNS-10TV President and General Manager Tom Griesdorn. "I'm certain viewers will be in awe when they learn just how much there is to see and do at the Wilds, as well as its impact on conservation efforts around the globe."
"A Look At The Wilds" will also be simulcast on statewide cable affiliate ONN. The show will be made available to view on demand on 10TV.com.
