A woman faced a disorderly conduct charge on Tuesday after police said that she got into a road rage confrontation with the city's police chief.

A police report stated that Chief Roger Moore was off duty and driving his personal car on May 23 when he tried to merge into a lane of stopped traffic near the Burger King restaurant, located at 900 N. Bridge St. in Chillicothe.

Police said that the woman pulled up and almost hit Moore and his vehicle and then gave the middle finger to the police chief, 10TV News reported.

The woman told officers she would have hit the chief's vehicle "if she hadn't been paying attention."

The police report lists the victims as Roger Moore and "society."
