Truck drivers learned new rules for the road on Thursday as law enforcement officers trained them to spot crime along their routes.

Troopers met with the drivers at the Walmart Distribution Center, located at 3880 Southwest Boulevard, to teach them what to look out for, 10TV's Danielle Elias reported.

Investigators said that Ohio's roads are often the crossroads for America, bringing a high potential for criminal activity.

"You need eyes and ears out there to report this stuff," truck driver Jason Imhoff said. "Trucks are out there all day long going up and down the road and they can report things out of the ordinary."

Troopers said that Ohio has seen an increase in drugs and human trafficking.

Drivers who spot unusual activities are asked to dial # 677, Elias reported.
