Police shut down a street festival Saturday night and made several arrests after a house caught fire during a block party.

Authorities would not go into details Saturday night about the number of arrests they made, or discuss exactly how they believed someone set fire to the house.

No one was injured in the fire, 10TV's Justin Moss reported.

Police had the street cleared shortly after 8 p.m.

Several arrests were also made during the annual festival, referred to as Palmer Fest, in 2010.  A number of fires were also set during the street party that year, 10TV News reported.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office placed its Special Response Team on standby as a result of the problems at the festival on Saturday, Moss reported.
