A Columbus woman said she was unable to get help recapturing her escaped parrot, 10TV News reported Monday.

Samantha Quinones said that her parrot, Bella, was spooked and flew out of her home Sunday.

Bella spent most of the day in a tree near her home.

Quinones said that animal shelters and the fire department would not help her try to get it down.

The bird later flew off.

Columbus firefighters said that they do respond to stuck animals if they are in distress, 10TV News reported.
