Columbus Dentist Offering Free Services For Those Without Insurance

UPDATED: Friday April 13, 2012 11:23 AM

A southeast side dental practice was donating its time and expertise for people without dental insurance Friday.

Fixari Family Dental, located at 4241 Kimberly Pkwy., was offering free services until 5 p.m. Friday.

The service was part of a non-profit organization, Dentistry From The Heart, 10TV News reported.

The practice was offering a choice of a free cleaning, filling or extraction, if needed.

People lined up early Friday morning for the opportunity.

"It'll feel great knowing this pain will go away," patient Glenn Pennington said.

Patient Niko Russell said the service was allowing him to get the care that he needed.

"It means a lot to me, because I wasn't expecting to get my tooth fixed for way down the road, because I don't have any health insurance right now," Russell said.

Representatives from Fixari Family Dental said that they planned to offer the free service once a year.
