A woman died after her car went off the road and struck a utility pole on Saturday afternoon.
The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the vehicle crash on state Route 56 and Whiteside Road, southeast of Mount Sterling, just after 3 p.m.
Deputies said the vehicle was driven by Goldie Shelpman, of Urbana.
Paramedics took Shelpman, 85, to Berger Hospital, in Circleville, where she died of her injuries.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
