Roads were closed and residents were evacuated on Wednesday evening after reports of a grenade in the area.
According to officials, East Main Street between Bolen and Homewood avenues were closed, 10TV News reported.
The closures and evacuations occurred at about 5 p.m.
It was not immediately known what time the road would reopen.
