Dozens of people were ill following two confirmed norovirus outbreaks in Licking County.
The first outbreak sickened 36 students and two staff members at Denison University, 10TV News reported.
The second outbreak sickened 41 people, who attended a Columbus Museum of Art event on Feb. 12 at the Bryn Du Mansion.
According to Licking County Health Commissioners, norovirus is the leading cause of food-borne disease outbreaks and is easily spread from person to person.
Symptoms include vomiting, nausea and diarrhea. Most people recover from the virus within one to two days.
Officials encouraged people to use common sense measures, such as frequent hand washing, to fight illness.
