Police said that they found a stolen minivan on fire shortly after its driver was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday.
According to police, the victim was at the United Dairy Farmers store, located at 6525 Tussing Rd., on the Far East side at about 4 a.m. when three men driving in a black Chevy Trailblazer approached him.
The victim told police that the men stole his aunt’s gray 1998 Chrysler Town and Country after shooting him in the hand, 10TV’s Shayla Reaves reported.
Police said that the stolen vehicle as found on fire at about 5:30 a.m. about 15 miles away near Cleveland Avenue and Agler Road.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to a hospital. His condition was not immediately available.
Investigators were working to get detailed descriptions of the three men.
