Police tracked down three people who they said were wanted for questioning in a slaying on Monday morning.

Police attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a home, located at 399 Clarendon Ave. on the west side, when two men ran from the home just after midnight, 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.

Investigators said that they caught and arrested the two men, but had to call in reinforcements to take a third person, who refused to leave the house, into custody.

Officers attempted to talk the third person out of the home for about three hours, Ramos reported. The person did not exit the home until tear gas was fired inside the home.

Police did not give details as to how those questioned were thought to be tied to the slaying.

The names of those who were questioned were not immediately released. All three were released after questioning.
