Crime Stoppers announced on Sunday that it was offering a reward of up to $2,000 in connection with a December robbery inside an Ohio State University building that prompted a campus-wide alert.
The robbery occurred on Dec. 6 inside a maintenance office located inside 33 W. 11th Avenue, police said.
According to investigators, a man in the building encountered a suspicious person who then pulled a black revolver from underneath his arm, pointed it at the man's head and demanded him to empty his pockets.
The robber took the worker's money and left the building.
The robber was described as a black man who has a light complexion and light colored eyes.
He was in his early to middle 30s, with a thin build and weighs about 145 pounds.
He was wearing a black zippered jacket, black hooded sweatshirt that was pulled up, a black toboggan, baggy blue jeans, black, torn-up Converse or similar looking shoes with bright white laces and black leather gloves.
He also had a gold tooth next to his right front tooth.
The revolver had a two-inch barrel.
One side of the handle was brown and the other side appeared to be colored with a black marker.
The reward is in effect for information received by Feb. 29 that leads to the robber's arrest or indictment.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477 or visit their Web site and e-mail a tip.
