Police on Friday released the names of the two men killed in a hit-skip crash on Sunday.

Jose Renato Montalvo-Fuentes, 34, and Francisco Castellanos-Lopez, 33, died when their minivan was struck on Interstate 71 near Morse Road early Sunday morning, The Columbus Dispatch reported.

Police were still searching for Carlos Cepeda, the man they said caused the crash, 10TV News reported.

Police said that they believed Cepeda, 30, was driving a maroon Dodge Charger that was involved in the double fatal crash.

According to court records, Cepeda has a list of traffic-related offenses.

Cepeda was pulled over in November. He was charged with five counts of driving under suspension, one count of no operator’s license, repeat offender suspension, operating a vehicle under the influence and speed.

Cepeda is expected in court next month, 10TV News reported.

In February 2009, Cepeda pleaded guilty to driving while under suspension, and six months after that, he was back in court to plead guilty to an OVI.

His records include two more guilty pleas to OVIs, 10TV News reported.

The owner of a maroon Dodge Charger that police said was involved in the deadly hit and run crash said on Tuesday that he was not behind the wheel at the time of the crash.

The car was found Monday afternoon on Wellington Avenue, on the northeast side. Gil Pilier Morla said that he recognized his car when he saw it on the news.
