Two people were hospitalized Friday morning after a car crashed into a pole on the east side.
According to police, the car crashed into the pole at Nelson Road and Main Street just after 5 a.m.
Police said that the car’s airbags deployed and when officers arrived, a person inside the car was not responsive.
One person was transported to Grant Medical Center and the other transported to University Hospital East.
Nelson Road was closed at Main Street while crews worked to clear to scene.
The names and conditions of the victims were not immediately released.
