A man was taken into custody after police said he was involved in an overnight police chase on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the driver refused to pull over for Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers just before 3:30 a.m.
Investigators pursued the driver along state Route 161 until he lost control of his car and struck a gas meter, tree and a north side home, 10TV News reported.
Two nearby homes were evacuated after the crash while investigators worked to shut off gas to the meter.
The name of the man in custody was not immediately released and no injuries were reported.
