Police said they were looking for three men after they allegedly held a woman at gunpoint in the middle of the day on Tuesday on the south side.
Mercedes Penn told 10TV News that it happened while she was taking a short walk to get her son. She said three young men came up to her near Whittier Street and Studer Avenue. One of them pointed a gun at her head, reported 10TV's Justin Moss.
"I was just scared. I don't even know what to do," said Penn. "I just gave them everything I had and basically just ran."
Penn said the men got away with her identification, cash, phone and a new pair of shoes for her son.
No arrests were immediately made, Moss reported.
